I was shocked as the outstanding rainforest [in Brazil] blew me away. The colourful leaves hung from the trees. The beautiful birds sung their songs which sounded like angels in Heaven. The muddy ground was full of animal footprints – could this be a part of the new research which I would now discover? The pointy spikes of the tree trunk made a wound on my hand and thick rose red blood came dripping out but that’s what happens in Brazil when you’re in the rainforst.

I was so excited about my holiday to Cairo, Egypt. ”It had better be good. I’ve paid £2000 for this!” said Mum. Amy, my little sister, didn’t want to go as she had thrown up on the aeroplane on our trip to Moscow.

Amy finally got on the plane and fell asleep. On arrival we stepped outside but it was far too hot. “Okay now let’s walk as it’s a nice day,” beamed Dad.

“Walk? Are you joking? It’s far too hot!” I replied.

“Well it will be even hotter in a taxi.” So I forgot about the temperature and had a wonderful trip.

In Brazil jaguars bite,

In Brazil jaguars sight might not be right.

I am Jamie Gunnel, the intriguing, mysterious explorer, trying to rediscover the lost Wachiti Tribe on the outskirts of Brazil. I walk through the rainforest slashing the vines with my machete. The Wachiti disappeared just over five years ago. I wonder how the Wachiti have survived here their whole lives but that’s what happens in Brazil when you are used to the heat.

I hear something behind me… it is a man. He tells me to follow him, I obey. Soon we arrive to our destination. It’s a tribe. Their language and customs come to me immediately, it’s the Wachiti. I’ve found them at last. “Hooray!” I shout.

Dear diary,

June fifteenth was the best day of my life. When I woke up my mum said that we were going to see the live finals for the Fifa World Cup. I was so excited!
When I got back from school, my mum said that there was a mistake and the trip wasn’t  ours after all; it was someone else’s.
We could not go to Brazil and I had been so exited but now I was not so I went to bed.
When I woke up I noticed that I was in Brazil, I had had a nightmare!

Opening the door, like James Bond, I snuck in after a whole night of partying. Max, our cat, purred happily at my feet; a light flicked on upstairs; I froze! Mum walked gingerly down the steps in her wolf skin slippers.

“It’s about time!” she exclaimed

“Mum, leave it out will you!” I said as she reached up and pecked my cheek.

Loudly dad shouted at me from the top of the stairs. He was too busy shouting to notice Max sitting on the top step and tripped. It didn’t help that he was extremely drunk but that’s what happens in Brazil when you’ve been to a street party! all

Brazil is a life experience in many ways. The statue of Jesus in Rio is a big tourist attraction. Brazil is well known for the World Cup and the Amazon rainforest.

Its heat is amazing especially the beaches when the sun blazes down on the water; it sparkles in delight but that’s what happens in Brazil when it’s hot. However take care as people might steal your things; beware of pickpockets.

Every four years all countries go to Brazil to show off their talents against one another and play with respect.

When-ever you get time go to Brazil.

“Mum,” said Joe.

“Yes dear.” said Mum.

“Do you know anything about Brazil?”

“Yes, why?”

“I have got a project at school about it.”

“Well, in Brazil there are rich parts and poor parts”

“Why don’t they share their money?” asked Joe.

“But that’s what happens in Brazil when the government get power.”

Mum carried on giving facts.

“Also Brazil has the world’s largest rainforest going through it.”

“The world’s largest rainforest!”

Mum continued giving so many facts that Joe started to write stuff down in his notepad. When Joe got to school he got top marks and everyone was impressed.

This year the World Cup has been held in Brazil which is always busy, but that’s what happens in Brazil when the World Cup is there. The World Cup is a very well-known thing just like Britain’s Got Talent is. It involves countries playing football against each other which will lead to a winner and the winner takes home a trophy!  The trophy is gold.

The World Cup is taken very seriously by footballers and football fans! But some people don’t like it at all and find it very boring.

Finally, I’m at Brazil! I reached into my pocket for some more gum, but it was found to be empty. Both of my bodyguards stood either side of me to protect me from the crowds that were soon going to gather. At the airport, there was a man holding up a sign with the name ‘Steven Gerrard’. That was my driver. So I walked to the man when suddenly a boy ran up to me and asked for an autograph, I was annoyed but that’s what happens in Brazil when there’s a World Cup. After the man took me to his car. It was then I realised that I was late for the world cup!

Spain vs Brazil – the moment everyone had been waiting for. Walking into the massive stadium I heard shouting and chanting. The tension was amazing. The game kicked off, both Spain and Brazil were playing dominantly, it was a tough match.

Suddenly the ball got smashed in by Alonso – it was 1-0. Ten minutes later Brazil equalised; it was a stunning goal. The stadium went quiet… gun shots were being fired. It was a fight but that’s what happens in Brazil when there’s an argument. The game had to be replayed. It was a disappointment to everyone.

Five Years ago there were three tiny men who where builders. But one day the three little builders went to the shops and bought … a giant cream egg. Unfortunately the builders were holding the egg for so long that their hands got slippery. So they ended up dropping the egg and then … CRACK! They all tried to catch the egg but it was too late. They were stressed and tried to fix it but they did not have all of the pieces. Luckily, in the end they didn’t need the egg after all.

That day, when three builders were hard at work, a huge rock came gushing out of the sky and splattered every where. The men slowly approached the giant rock. One builder put his hand into the gooey, sweet cream and put it into his mouth, “I’m going to call this a cream egg.”

The man called everyone he knew to witness the grand opening of the cream egg. Later that day people started putting up posters of the egg. The next day, in the shops, people started selling cream eggs with the picture of the men on the front of the wrapper.

Anxiously Joe wanted to jump into the gigantic, creamy egg which contained a mouth watering delight. But Joe knew he couldn’t, not without his friends. Hesitantly he pondered what to do next.

He knew his friends were going to be at least another 10 to 15 minutes; why couldn’t he have a quick swim in luxury?

So, Joe ran and jumped into his delight. He  had been waiting for a while to do that.
He heard noises, it sounded like footsteps. He gulped. He thought it was his friends. Joe was right, and in his friends eyes he could see they wanted revenge.

Noone knows who or what this dangerous creature is,but everyone is afraid it might strike.  The men carry the half melted monster away. Peculiarly the men  smell something sweet and sticky. They lick the cream taking a huge risk. They just can’t stop.

One hour later the thing had vanished… The men ate the thing knowing it might be dangerous. The whole city realised it was not dangerous at all, so everyone now knew where to get a delicious egg.

“It looks dangerous so I’m  jumping off to get away.”
Loudly the other two builders debated whether it looked like a chocolate egg.

“I’m not sure what the mysterious object is but the only way to know is to taste it. Who is with me?”

All of the builders had a taste and they all said the same thing – “That it is a chocolate egg, yum!”

Dear President Obama,

There has been many arguments around the world about children with disabilities who can’t go to school and there is an estimated amount of 24 million children in the world who still cannot go to school. They are missing out on a basic right due to their disabilities. These children are hindered by the long distances to a school, such as in Africa and South America.
All I’m asking for is for you to stop this from happening otherwise they won’t get a chance to learn like normal children. I’m asking for YOUR help because YOU are one of the only people who can stop this.
Please help.

In your bedroom at night,
There’s a Zombie apocalypse coming your way,

If there’s a flickering light,
In the dead of the night,
Casting eerie shadows upon your walls.
And there’s a bang and a clatter,
As the windows shatter,
The Zombies are here to stay!

Stay awake, stay calm,
Try not to be alarmed,
They may not want to eat your brains.
But if you hear me shout, and you hear me scream,
You better get out of here!

Dear President Obama,

57 million children around the world are missing out on their right to go to school. Over one third of these have a disability like Lucy. Lucy’s right leg cannot straightened (due to polio) meaning five days every week she has to watch her friends go to school but not her. All she wants is to go with them. If you was one of these children or there parents, how would you feel?

You, and other leaders, promised that by 2015 all children will go to school – do not break that promise.
Ensure EDUCATION for ALL.

I feel very strongly about children  getting an education. If children in England, America, Canada, and other places go to school, then why can’t children in Africa and other less fortunate places go? Why should they be made to stay at home because they might not be able to get to school? It is estimated that 57 million children in the world are not going to school and 1 out of 3 of those children have a disability and will not be able to travel to school because of their conditions. Please listen to my appeal.

I implore you to raise this issue with other world leaders and ensure that ALL children have the education they deserve.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely
Holly

Dear David Cameron,

57 million children cannot go to school because they have disabilities or no access to schools. One example is a girl called Lucy who lives in Kenya. She cannot go to school because of her disability caused frpm polio when she was younger. Many children want an education but they just cannot get it. Is this fair?
Many many children are lucky such as us in Britain. Even with disabilities we can still go to school and have a good education. Many children are desperate just to be educated and make their own contribution to their societies so please do something to make these children happy.

Yours sincerely
Maisie

Dear David Cameron,

I am writing to you to tell you that I think every child deserves an education. I think this should happen because some children, especially in the poorer countries, cannot go to school as it is too far away; some are disabled like Lucy who had polio this means she cannot get to school.

You, and other world leaders, should keep your promise and ensure that every child gets an education before 2015. If this happens the children would be delighted!

I hope you understand what I am saying.

Thank you for your attention.
Yours sincerely
Lou-Anna
